Description

IBM Rational DOORS Advanced teaches the tool administrator and experienced systems engineer how to apply the advanced features of IBM Rational DOORS for tool configuration and repository management. Students begin with an overview of the DOORS technical environment, configuration and licensing concerns, and deployment guidelines. Students then create a new DOORS project and add formal modules and link modules with attributes and views. Students also create custom forms for entering data in formal modules. Database management is discussed including locking and security, archiving and purging data, and server management. Students are exposed to various options for sharing data including using partitions and importing and exporting data to external data sources. Then advanced change management topics are discussed such as using Intelligent Traceability and modifying the change proposal system. The course concludes with an overview of various DOORS external product integrations and optional add-ons.
