IBM Rational DOORS Advanced teaches the tool administrator and experienced
systems engineer how to apply the advanced features of IBM Rational DOORS
for tool configuration and repository management. Students begin with an
overview of the DOORS technical environment, configuration and licensing
concerns, and deployment guidelines. Students then create a new DOORS
project and add formal modules and link modules with attributes and views.
Students also create custom forms for entering data in formal modules.
Database management is discussed including locking and security, archiving
and purging data, and server management. Students are exposed to various
options for sharing data including using partitions and importing and exporting
data to external data sources. Then advanced change management topics are
discussed such as using Intelligent Traceability and modifying the change
proposal system. The course concludes with an overview of various DOORS
external product integrations and optional add-ons.
