Introduction to IBM Rational ClearQuest teaches the iterative project team member how to use IBM Rational ClearQuest for capturing and managing change requests, enhancement requests, and testing defects. Starting with a review of change request management best practices, the course provides an overview of a proven configuration of how to setup ClearQuest using schemas, record types, and state models. Creating and modifying change requests through ClearQuest forms is discussed in addition to how the state model affects form behavior. The course also describes how to integrate ClearQuest with RequisitePro and establish traceability between change requests and requirements. Then various reporting capabilities are discussed including creating queries when working with change requests, creating static and trend reports using charts, and advanced reporting with Crystal Reports and SoDA.
